Fortnite (PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS) received a new replay feature in the last patch 3.5. This allows you to watch your played matches again and edit them at your leisure. Ideal for creating high-quality fan videos.
Fortnite is not just a game. Fans create memes, recreate the emotes in real life, and post their best moments on YouTube and Twitch.
And with the current patch 3.5, the developers at Epic have provided all fan filmmakers with a powerful new toy: The replay feature!

Interesting: The replay tool in Fortnite was originally designed for Paragon. Fortnite inherits the feature from the now-defunct MOBA.
Fortnite now films with
With the new replay feature, the game saves your past matches. You can view them in your “Career” menu under Replays. But the replay tool can do even more. You can, among other things:
- Change the perspective
- Adjust the brightness
- Change the camera distance to the action
- Toggle damage effects, bullet trails, and muzzle flash on and off
- Set special effects like slow motion
Look forward to Fortnite music videos and fan films
The new replay video editor seems to be a powerful tool for content creators. Shortly after the implementation of the new feature, first attempts with the new tool were already online, which were quite impressive.
Want a little music video?
The YouTuber Edir played around with the editor and made a fun music video showing how stylish you can get taken out in Fortnite from different perspectives.
Powerful intros
The user Enigma created a strong intro montage with many color effects using the editor.
Dance Layer in the Toilet Factory!
The YouTuber GameNight discovered a dance floor in the Flush Factory and created a dance video.
Dancing through the Fortnite world
Here you can see a particularly funny video where the YouTuber Exion dances across the whole map with the goofy Buddy-Dance.
So edgy!
How can you make the edge-lord skin Raven even more edgy? By making a fat slow-mo video of him! YouTuber PenaPro did it. See the result here.
Considering that all these works were created shortly after the release of the replay feature, there will likely be many more great video montages, music videos, and machinimas for Fortnite in the future.
Note: The replay feature is currently only available for the PC and console version of Fortnite and only for the Battle Royale mode.
With these new outfits, even more absurd fan videos in Fortnite are possible.
