Remnant 2: Unlocking the Engineer – How to unlock the secret archetype

In Remnant 2 has a lot of archetypes that you can equip as classes and that give you new skills and options. One of these archetypes is the Engineer, which is difficult to find. How to unlock it is shown here:

How to unlock the Engineer in Remnant 2? To unlock the second archetype Engineer in Remnant 2, you need to find the alien device. You can then exchange the item with Wallace at Station 13. But the item cannot just be found while exploring.

What can the Engineer do? The Engineer provides you with a turret, a flamethrower, and everything related to heavy weapons.

How to find the alien device

Where to find the alien device? You need to be far enough in the story of Remnant 2 to travel to N’erud. The area is filled with dense fog through which you can hardly see. When you enter the fog, you continuously take damage and die if you stay there too long.

But that’s exactly where we need to go for the item. Specifically, to the Vault of Aeons. At the edge of the map within the fog, you can find the item. If you start at the spawn point, you need to walk along the edge of the map without being in the fog.

The item is located in a small spot outside the cliff. While searching, you will find a path with a cliff on the left and sharp stones on the right. Behind you is a spaceship. Between the cliff and the stones, you need to go in and find a platform slightly outside the map.

You will vomit upon entering the fog and slowly take damage, but that’s not a problem; you just need to grab the items quickly before you die.

• Jump onto the small, lower platform outside the map
• There you will find a technician’s armor
• On the left, you can drop down again and then find the alien device
• You will die here, but upon respawn, you will have both items in your inventory

Once you have found the item, you can buy the engram “Drzyr’s Dial Caliper” from Wallace at Station 13. This additionally costs 10 Luminien Crystals and 1000 Scrap Metal. Then you will have unlocked the additional archetype “Engineer”.
