The horses in RDR 2 are your constant companions and are just as much a part of the gang as the human members. They are therefore firmly integrated into the gameplay of the game, and this does not refer to the shrinking testicles.
What horses will be in Red Dead Redemption 2? Rockstar has announced that there will be 19 different horse breeds in the game. These include noble animals like Mustangs or Arabians. Each horse breed has its own peculiarities and characteristics. These will be reflected not only in the status values but also in the control and behavior of the animals.
Your very own horse: Players will have access to various customization options for the appearance and equipment of their horses. According to Rockstar, there will be 59 different coat patterns and various sets of riding gear. This includes:
- Saddle
- Saddle bags
- Stirrups
- Spurs
- Bridle
There will also be cosmetic items for the mane and tail. You will be able to tune, pimp, and personalize your pony or horse as you wish.
What benefits does the equipment bring? The riding equipment not only has a pretty appearance but also practical benefits: In the saddlebag, players can store their weapons, outfits, and many other useful items.
Smaller animals and birds that you hunted can be attached to the saddle. Larger prey, on the other hand, will be strapped behind the saddle over the horse’s back.
How do you get a new horse? If something happens to your old horse or you simply want to look for another steed, there are various ways to acquire new horses. You can:
- Catch and tame horses in the wild.
- Buy steeds from a merchant
- Use various, not-so-legal methods to obtain a new steed
Red Dead Redemption will be available from October 26.
