According to a Red Dead Redemption 2 leak, the release is supposed to take place in June 2018. The date comes from a known source.
Fans are eagerly waiting for the next installment of Rockstar Games’ western game “Red Dead Redemption”. In October 2016, the developers first showed the trailer for “Red Dead Redemption 2”, which now has over 15 million views on YouTube.
After the release was already postponed, a Danish retailer now claims to know the exact date.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Release
The online listing from Coolshop.dk shows that Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release on June 8 (a Friday) 2018. The screenshot of the listing was shared by Reddit user wiredgoon with the western game community.
The reason many players are paying close attention to this screenshot lies in the past of the Danish shop.
In 2014, Coolshop revealed another leak that was almost spot on. At that time, it was about the release of the next-gen and PC versions of GTA 5 Online. Before anyone else (and before Rockstar’s official announcement), the Coolshop website listed November 14 (also a Friday) 2014 as the release date.
The official release of the next-gen version of GTA 5 was only four days later, on November 18 (a Tuesday).
Rockstar has already announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release in Spring 2018. According to calendar calculations, that would be between March 20, 2018 and June 20, 2018. The developers postponed the release from Fall 2017 because Rockstar Games wants to publish a “finished” game.
There are several reasons against this release date
Keep in mind that all of this is just speculation and the date on the website could just as well be a placeholder. The mentioned online shop uses placeholders with release dates for some games.
There is still no official release date for Red Dead Redemption 2.
There are several reasons against the accuracy of this release date of June 8, 2018:
- In the cache of the page, there are indications that the date December 31, 2017 was previously listed as the “release date for Red Dead Redemption 2”.
- For the game Anthem, the release date is set for March 30, 2018. This is quite unlikely.
Release date withdrawn by the online shop
Update December 29, 2017 11:00 AM: The online shop has since changed the date to 2018, without specifying a more exact day.
The financial report suggests that the release of Red Dead Redemption may come as early as April 2018.
