The double-action revolver was unlocked in GTA 5 for Red Dead Redemption 2. But now it cannot be collected. What’s the reason?
With a treasure hunt, a great adventure started in GTA Online. Long before the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5 players were supposed to go on a scavenger hunt that ended with a golden revolver.
The special thing about the revolver: Players could then use the revolver in GTA Online. Additionally, Rockstar promised that the weapon would also be available in Red Dead Redemption 2 and that the treasure hunt would unlock it.
However, many players cannot collect the Colt. A bug is interfering.

After players unlocked the double-action revolver in Red Dead Redemption 2 with the treasure hunt in GTA 5 Online, they now search for it in the game.

Where can you find the GTA revolver in RDR 2? You will find the revolver in the standard version at any gunsmith in RDR 2. Just go into the shop, talk to the merchant, and select the option to browse the catalog. On the second page under the revolver category, you will find the double-action revolver.
The double-action revolver is also supposed to be found during the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 in a mission.
Do you only unlock the skin? It seems that by completing the challenge in GTA Online, you unlock a special version of the double-action revolver.
GTA Revolver in Red Dead Redemption 2
The mentioned revolver seems to be just the standard version that you unlock through the treasure hunt in GTA 5 Online. After completing chapter 2, you will receive the standard version. But not the mentioned golden revolver from GTA.
Why is the revolver not available? The community is confused. Players are asking: I unlocked the revolver in GTA Online. Why is it not available in RDR 2 now?
The answer is a bug. Even though players meet all the requirements and have technically unlocked the firearm, they still have no access. Rockstar states:
We have identified an issue with the double-action revolver in Red Dead Redemption 2 and are working to resolve it.
Once the problem is resolved, players who have completed the challenge in GTA Online will receive the double-action revolver in RDR 2 as part of the regular single-player story progression.
So you will have to wait for a fix before the golden revolver becomes available. It seems that the double-action revolver will simply be assigned to you then. We will report on this once the issue is fixed.
