Rockstar Games has announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC. The game is coming a year later, but PC players can look forward to a more polished and prettier game.
When will RDR 2 be released for PC? The western game will be released on November 5 via the Epic Games and Rockstar Games Launcher. Additionally, it will launch on Google Stadia in November.
Steam users will have to wait until December. A specific date has yet to be announced.

What is different about the PC version? Rockstar Games stated during the announcement that the PC version will be visually enhanced. You can look forward to several graphical improvements, which include:
- Increased draw distance
- Improved snow footprints
- Enhanced reflections and shadows with higher resolutions
- “Tessellated” tree textures
- Higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion
- HDR support
- Improved grass and fur textures

- Unlocked framerate

Furthermore, the action game benefits from a number of bug fixes and updates that Rockstar Games has developed over the past year. This includes, for example, an HDR fix. HDR is also possible on consoles, but it was initially “broken” there. A fix followed in May this year.
Moreover, Red Dead Redemption 2 should run smoother than on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4. The unlocked framerate should allow more than 60 FPS depending on the system. The system requirements are not as high as you can read here:
The game will also receive new content for the story part. This includes new bounty missions, weapons, horses, and more.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is back in the spotlight
Why do PC players get the “best” version? Anyone who has been looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2 and waited about a year for the PC version will be rewarded accordingly. The game should look significantly better on PC than on consoles and run smoother. In addition, there is the additional content.
Thus, it can already be said that the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will probably be the “best” version.
Why should console players be happy too? The hype generated by the PC version of RDR 2 is also increasing the interest of console players to get back into the game. And they can still do so ahead of the PC fans for now. So it is indeed a really good time to get into the western epic. Whether as a console player or soon on PC.
