Red Dead Redemption 2 is a successful game from the developer studio Rockstar Games, which captivated its players with its extensive story. The YouTuber Kush Qrox found a hidden cutscene in the game files. The clip suggests: A huge part of content was withheld from gamers.
Red Dead Redemption 2 comes from Rockstar Games, which is also known for GTA 5.
The game is a western shooter set in a fictional version towards the end of the Wild West in America. The game is praised especially for its good story in the campaign and was very well received by gamers.
In the game data, a cutscene was found that suggests: The story could have been even more extensive. However, a large part of content was likely cut.

The story might have gone differently
What content do we have in the game? In Red Dead Redemption 2, there is the side quest titled “A Fisher of Fish” (Fisher of Fish). In this, the player or the main character Arthur Morgan meets the fisherman Jeremy Gill, who challenges him to a fishing challenge. Here, Arthur has to visit various locations and catch certain fish specimens.
Certain fish can only be caught once the player reaches the epilogue in Red Dead Redemption 2 while playing as John Marston. Because: As Arthur, the locations Blackwater and New Austin are almost inaccessible. However, there are fish that need to be caught as part of the mission.
What content was removed? In the cutscene, it is suggested that Arthur is supposed to catch a fish in Rio Bravo. Therefore, one can assume that Arthur was also meant to travel to Blackwater and New Austin in the cut content.
This raises the question of whether the hunt and the near-death experience with the lawmen, as we know them in Red Dead Redemption 2, would have occurred in this form.
If the player tries to reach Blackwater as Arthur in the game, bounty hunters quickly spoil the plan.
What happens in the video? On August 20, 2022, YouTuber Kush Qrox released a cutscene titled “This unused cutscene proves that Arthur could explore New Austin” (via YouTube)
Here you can watch the cutscene:
What does the cutscene show? The scene seems to be not fully developed, which is why Arthur talks to an “invisible person”. However, Jeremy Gill can be recognized by his voice.
The fisherman wants Arthur to go to Rio Bravo, to which the main character asks if that is not in the desert. Arthur also expresses his discontent and says that he does not want to go there, but eventually gets persuaded.
At the end of the clip, Arthur stands in front of a lake located in New Austin.
After the game and especially its story was so well received by players, additional content in the game would have surely delighted some.
It would also have been interesting to see what alternative story the game would have told or whether the course would have remained largely the same.
