How to make a lot of money with salmon in Red Dead Online
On Reddit, user SheReallySaidIt writes about the method to easily make money right now.
- Reach rank 14 and get the fishing rod
- Go to a merchant in the general store and get a river bait there. It looks like a dragonfly. The river bait is usually unlocked at level 30. With a gold bar you can unlock it immediately – hold the left trigger on the Xbox One controller. Alternatively, you can buy worms – but that will cut into your profit.
- Go to the Dakota River at night. Walk along the shore with your lantern and look for the salmon that glow bright red in the light of your lantern. Try to find a large group near the shallow shore. The closer they swim to the shore, the better.
- Cast the fishing line right over the fish. They will bite immediately. Since they are so close to the shore, you don’t have to reel in the line for long, saving you a lot of time. It should only take a few minutes to catch the maximum of 10 fish.
- Once you have all 10, ride back to Strawberry. It takes about 2 minutes. The butcher will buy your catch for $42.50.
- Then go back to the fishing spot. Cast your line once and reel it in again. After that, the fish should respawn quickly.
How easily can you get $300 per hour? The Reddit user states that the $300 per hour only comes with practice. At first, he was making less money. The more he mastered this method, the better it went. The peak earnings are over $300 per hour.
