The first update for Red Dead Online is on the way. This changes money and gold prices as well as rewards in the multiplayer of RDR 2. We show you in the patch notes in German what is included.
In recent days, there has been a lot of criticism of the economy of Red Dead Online. Players complained that the prices of some items are far too high and the wages, in comparison, are far too low. One example mentioned was a can of beans that has a higher value than a wedding ring.
Rockstar listened to the players’ feedback and is now implementing changes in Red Dead Online.
Red Dead Online Patch on December 6 – Patch Overview
What are the changes? Today, on December 6, the first changes will be implemented in the beta of Red Dead Online. According to Rockstar, these changes are intended to provide more fun, balance, and a satisfying gaming experience in all modes and missions.
- Increased money and gold payouts
- This is available in various activities such as free roam missions and events, replays of missions from “A Land of Opportunities”, showdown series, and more.
- Lower purchase prices
- Most weapons in the catalog of Wheeler, Rawson & Co and at gunsmiths are now cheaper. Players who have already purchased these weapons will receive a refund of the difference. This refund may take until December 10. Once credited to you, you will recognize this by an in-game message.
- Adjustments of money values
- Certain pelts, skins, and fish as well as horse feeders and brochures have been adjusted in price. Exactly how the values will change is still unclear.
The money issues were among the biggest points of criticism from players regarding the beta of Red Dead Online. Many were relieved, when Rockstar announced changes to this system.
What are the developers planning next? After these adjustments, the developers will continue to address the issues that regularly exclude players from sessions.
Additionally, they will continue to monitor and keep an eye on the feedback from the community.
