The online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently struggling with griefers. That it can be different was recently proven by a trickster who grabbed an unsuspecting teammate and took an AFK road trip across Red Dead Online.
Players in Red Dead Online are currently complaining about griefers who do not leave other players alone and impose PvP on them. Currently, there is hardly any protection against it, as the current system Parley and Feud can easily be bypassed.
While Rockstar is working on further measures against griefers, a prankster shows that it doesn’t always mean something bad when you are tied up and dragged by strangers in RDO.

Player embarks on journey with AFK cowboy
What happened? In the subreddit of Red Dead Redemption 2, user timothybrooks7 reported that he grabbed a teammate and traveled the online world with him.
The teammate, however, was completely unaware of the situation as he was AFK the entire time, not at his controller.
As timothybrooks7 reports, he simply grabbed the absent player, tied him up, and dragged him around the world. To document this, he took plenty of screenshots, which were then compiled into a video.
According to the user, the two traveled the world until the teammate was removed from the game for inactivity. However, they later got in touch and Timothy shared their joint pictures.
What the community says: The post of the unintended road trip is causing a lot of laughter in the subreddit. timothybrooks7 is already being referred to by players as the “anti-griefer”.
Apparently, there are more good cowboys who deal with AFK players relatively peacefully. Some users report that they also tie up outlaws who are away from their controllers and then put them on their own horse. They then command the horse to flee. This way, they get rid of the players without having to fire a single shot.
Have you ever encountered such pranksters in Red Dead Online? Or have you only dealt with hostile cowboys?
