In Red Dead Online, there will probably be races. Additionally, the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 has a deathmatch feature and the ability to duel with players. That comes from a new leak.
Many players are eagerly awaiting the multiplayer mode of Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar Games has only stated so far that it will enter beta sometime in November and that the mode is supposed to be even more robust than GTA Online.
When a full release of Red Dead Online will happen is still unclear at this time.

Data miners are diligently analyzing data from Red Dead Redemption 2. This has already revealed what kind of vehicles and buildings are expected in the online mode.

According to RockstarIntel, these found parameters are directly related to the multiplayer mode Red Dead Online.
Similarity to GTA 5 with small wars: If you get shot by another player in the online mode of GTA 5, you can challenge them to a match. Then, points are counted on how many times someone has killed the other. The following lines seem to be related to 1-on-1 matches in the online mode.

If you don’t like it when another player opens fire on you, you could possibly report the other player with “Inform Law.”
