The sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge is getting a new update called Maelstrom. This is ArcheAge 4.0. You can expect exciting naval battles against monsters and other players. Additionally, crafting will be simplified and there will be a new raid finder for the open world.
Ships have always played an important role in ArcheAge. Guilds take pride in their ships and pirates make the seas unsafe. If you crave more ship battles, you will soon be able to enjoy a dedicated ship PvP mode.
Update Maelstrom brings combined PvP/PvE naval battles
In the Bloodsalt Bay, you will compete with a five-member crew on a ship and try to take down a sea monster. However, three other player crews with their ships also have their sights set on your target.
This leads to wild battles against other players and the sea monster. The winners of this epic chaos can earn substantial rewards.
New raid finder and improved Moon Jewels
The new update also brings a new raid finder. The “Raid Recruitment Tool” is a complex group finder that allows you to post announcements. Other players can easily join you, and you can even coordinate two raid groups at the same time.
In addition, the Moon Jewel system will be improved and simplified. The RNG factor when upgrading equipment has been reduced through the use of jewels. You will now find it easier to obtain the desired gems.
A new crafting questline offers new players multiple ways to get an easy introduction to the crafting system. Additionally, the crafting interface has been improved and made more user-friendly. You will now find it easier to see what you can craft.
All these changes will be available starting December 6, when the new update Maelstrom goes live.
ArcheAge shows how humanity would probably behave during the apocalypse!
