Hunt the legendary bear in Red Dead Redemption 2
Here’s how to find the legendary bear: You can easily find the legendary bear, as in the mission “Get Out, Head Down” in Chapter 2, you have the task of tracking down the massive animal. However, the quest is not immediately available at the start of Chapter 2, but will unlock a little later.
In the quest, you will be introduced to hunting, cooking food, and crafting. After that, you can try tracking and will soon come across the tracks of the animal.
After the quest, you will need to decide whether to return to camp or confront the bear directly.
Here’s how to take down the bear: If you want to hunt the bear, make sure to have your best gear, upgraded ammunition, and a few potions with you. A rifle with a scope and a full Dead Eye is also helpful. It’s best to save before your hunt.
Once you have spotted the bear, activate Dead Eye and aim for the bear’s weak spots. If the animal gets too close to you, switch to another weapon and shoot at its critical points, such as its head.

What is the pelt good for? With the pelt of a legendary bear, you can go to a trapper who can craft some items from it for you.
If you’re not interested in the bear gear, you can profitably sell the bear’s pelt as well as other hides to the trapper.
