Razer expands its streaming range with two new devices. With this, the manufacturer aims to reach users who want to enter the world of Twitch and co.
Streamers like Ninja earns a lot of money with Twitch and can afford a nice life for themselves and their family. For this reason, many hope for their own career as a streamer on Twitch or YouTube and are looking for suitable hardware.
Now Razer has introduced two devices that are specifically aimed at people who want to start streaming. The devices are a full-HD webcam and a capture card. Both are designed to be easy to use and are priced at around 100 Euros.
With Webcam and Capture Card, Razer Targets Beginners
What kind of devices are these?
- The Kiyo X USB is a webcam with full HD resolution, capable of streaming either at 1080p 30FPS or 720p 60FPS. For professional streamers, Razer had introduced the Kiyo Pro.
- The Razer Ripsaw X is a capture card that allows you to record videos. The device relies on HDMI and is compatible with all common cameras.
Razer deliberately keeps the entry barrier low. The manufacturer emphasizes that both the webcam and the capture card work with plug-and-play and require no additional software.
If you want to use software, you can use Razer’s Synapse software. With the software suite, you can make adjustments to the camera.
The Kiyo X also receives the free Razer Virtual Ring Light software. With this software, you should be able to optimize lighting for video calls and streams. The software uses the PC monitor. However, the software is not yet available.
The Ripsaw X should be usable with all common software suites for streamers. So, if you have already committed to streaming software, you should be able to use the streaming card without any issues.
How much do the devices cost? The Razer Kiyo X is available for €89.99, while the Razer Ripsaw X is available for €139.99. The devices will be available from September 30 at various retailers and directly from Razer.

Competitors Also Offer Hardware for Beginners
Other manufacturers also already offer hardware for streamers in the 100-Euro range. For example, the manufacturer AVerMedia offers its “Live Gamer” capture card, which costs around €80 and targets users who want to stream in full HD.
The C920 from Logitech is a good camera in the mid-price range, in case you do not like the Kiyo X USB. The camera uses a fixed clamp mount and delivers its own software, with which you can adjust resolution, color tone, and other settings. The image impresses with good detail accuracy but struggles in low light.
