Razer has introduced a smart glasses for home office and gaming. However, it is not an augmented reality (AR) glasses. MeinMMO presents the glasses to you.
Here’s what it’s about: The Razer Anzu is a smart audio glasses since it cannot provide augmented reality (AR) features. Instead, the glasses offer you a blue light filter and Bluetooth functions. People with visual impairments can also have their own lenses fitted into the glasses.
What does this have to do with Superman? In civilian life, Superman operates as Clark Kent. He always wears black horn-rimmed glasses when he interacts with his colleagues in daily life.
The design of Clark Kent’s glasses and the Razer Anzu are quite similar – and if you want to feel like Superman, you at least get some cool features with the new glasses.

This is what Razer’s smart glasses offer
This is how the device works: The glasses are controlled via touch fields located on the two arms of the glasses. You use tap gestures (single, double, or triple) to answer calls or start music tracks.
Another special feature is that the glasses are supposed to protect you from blue light. Therefore, the package includes two pairs of lenses:
- The first pair is intended for indoor use and provides a 35 percent blue light filter.
- The second pair consists of tinted sunglasses with 99 percent UVA/UVB protection.
Especially the blue light filter is supposed to make working or sitting in front of the PC for long hours easier and reduce issues in front of the screen. If you have illnesses or health problems while working from home, you should definitely speak to your family doctor. He can advise you on difficulties.
Here’s what you have to do without in Germany: In the USA, Razer has partnered with an online optician. This does not exist in the German-speaking area.
If you need glasses due to a visual impairment, you must either wear contact lenses or go to your optician to have the right lenses fitted.

Razer Anzu – early tests say
So far, some testers have been able to try the Razer Anzu. Netzwelt writes in the review that the Razer Anzu is generally an interesting blue light glasses. However, if you don’t need the technology, you can also get simple blue light glasses without Bluetooth technology for 30 euros. The glasses are not very convincing as headphones.
A similar conclusion is drawn by the editorial team from Golem.de. The idea of creating an interesting and comfortable pair of glasses for the home office is fundamentally interesting, but at a price of 200 euros, there are significantly cheaper options. For around 200 euros, you can also get a good headset, but you would have to forgo the blue light lenses.
More accessories for gamers: In addition to the glasses, Razer has also introduced a special mask against Corona, an accessory for gamers. The mask looks like it comes straight out of a video game. However, it shouldn’t be as expensive as the new smart glasses from Razer.
