Manufacturer Razer will present new hardware and technologies at the Entertainment Fair E3. What can we expect? Some are still waiting for the release of the “smartest mask in the world.”
Manufacturer Razer wants to hold its own press conference for the first time at E3. According to Razer, the CEO of Razer, Min-Liang Tan, is expected to “unveil a range of innovative hardware” during the keynote.
When will the presentation take place? The Razer press conference will take place on the night from Monday to Tuesday, June 15 at 12:00 AM CEST.
Where can I watch it? The Razer E3 keynote will be broadcast worldwide on the official E3 channels (YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook), on the E3 portal and in the app, through all E3 media partner websites, and on Razer’s social channels.
But what can we expect at E3? There are currently at least two rumors about what Razer could present.
Razer plans its first gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen, will it come to E3?
For some time now, there have been rumors that Razer is working on a gaming laptop with an AMD processor. A tweet from Razer’s CEO Min-Liang Tan in response to AMD has further intensified this rumor:
What hardware will be used? So far, however, we know very little about Razer’s laptop. Only a few details are known, which have not yet been officially confirmed by Razer (Via notebookcheck.com):
- The gaming laptop is expected to feature the Ryzen 9 5900HX.
- It is supposed to be a 14-inch laptop.
- You should be able to purchase the laptop with either RTX 3060 or RTX 3070.
What is special about it? Until now, Razer has only equipped its Blade series with Intel processors. The decision to go with AMD would not be surprising, as many gaming laptops had already been presented at CES 2021. Many gaming laptops also feature an AMD processor.
Many of them also rely on a Ryzen processor.
Gamers are waiting for the release of the “smartest mask in the world”
At the beginning of the year, Razer introduced a concept for a stylish mask called “Project Hazel,” designed to protect against Corona and other pathogens. In March, Razer’s CEO confirmed that the smart mask is to be manufactured and that it is not just a concept. However, the CEO did not provide an official date.
It could very well be that Razer uses the keynote as an opportunity to announce a release date for the “smartest mask in the world.” At least some users are already looking forward to finally being able to buy the mask. For example, Tokote writes on MeinMMO:
Since I heard about that thing months ago, I really want to have it. For one, the looks of people and then the amazement that, thanks to the microphone, it’s so easy to understand.
Where does the name come from? Razer calls their new product the “smartest mask in the world.” It comes with a special charging station that charges the mask’s battery and simultaneously kills bacteria and viruses with integrated UV light.
In 2020, Razer had already presented some hardware for gamers that is aimed at MMO and shooter players.
