In Fortnite, Raptors caused trouble in Chapter 2 Season 6. Now, the Fortnite community is fed up and wants them removed. But what makes these beasts so annoying and unpopular?
What are Raptors? They are bloodthirsty predators that make your life hell when you encounter them. The Raptors were introduced in Chapter 2 Season 6 and always approach you in groups.
Now that they were gone for a while, many players enjoyed this peace. However, in Season 8, they are back, which is frustrating for many players.
Players hate them – “Please remove them from the game”
On reddit, a post by YongYenji is upvoted, asking for these creatures to disappear. The post contains a video showing how aggressive these creatures can be.
Why are they so unpopular? Surprisingly, there are almost only negative aspects to these beasts:
- They are very fast – relentlessly hunt you
- Jump through structures as if they are made of cotton
- Take a lot of damage
- Deal a lot of damage
- Attack very quickly
- Approach you in groups
The only positive effect that can definitely be overlooked is the dropped meat piece that is dropped after killing a raptor. Is it worth it to engage with them just for that?
What do other players say? Players from the community point out to the player in the video that he could have built to escape the danger.
Others vent their frustration by making a suggestion:
They should have a nerf for speed and health. They are so damn annoying.

The fact is, however, that the beasts introduced by Epic Games in Fortnite are well designed. They correspond to what prehistoric creatures were like. They were, according to researchers, known for such behavior.
Despite the good implementation, they ruin the experience in Fortnite for many players, which is frustrating.
Good tactics against them? If Epic Games decides not to nerf them, you should have a tactic ready: Fortnite now has “Armored Walls” in the loot pool.
This new invention greatly strengthens your structures so they can withstand heavier fire. So if you see any lying around on the ground, pick them up and use them. That should be able to keep the Raptors occupied for a while.
Another method would be to make them your allies. This can easily be done by crafting a Hunter’s Cloak. You just need meat, which can be obtained from other animals. Then craft your own Hunter’s Cloak and you will be amazed: They will not notice you in their vicinity.
You can approach them without them attacking you, and taming them is also possible. This way, you have a loyal but deadly helper by your side. However, caution is still advised, as when you remove the cloak, your companion will see you as an enemy again.
