The rapper and actor ICE T is a self-proclaimed gamer. He has now shared his thoughts on the online shooter The Division 2 and explained what bothers him. For him, the air has gone out of it at the moment. 4700 agents on reddit apparently agree with this assessment.
What ICE T says: The rapper and actor posted on Twitter: “I have reached the end with The Division 2. No, I didn’t complete the raid, but I have a Gearscore of 500 and the air is gone. I hate it when this happens to a game I really like.”
How the agents are reacting: On reddit this was the post of the day. Someone wrote, “We can relate, Ice T, we can all relate.”
The post has now received 4700 upvotes, which signal general approval or “This is important.”
In the comments, the agents hope that Massive sees this statement from the celebrity and finally gives players something to do.
Players want a reason to play The Division 2 again
That’s why ICE T strikes a chord here: The Division 2 started strong, but stumbled with the content updates.
Actually, Massive wanted to increase the Gearscore with the raid, but decided against it. So players had little reason to log in over the past weeks.
Players enjoyed the first 4, 5, or 6 weeks with The Division 2, but are now waiting for a reason to keep playing.

What are the problems of The Division 2? The main problem seems to be long-term motivation at the moment. The Division 2 certainly offers content for 60, 70, or 80 hours. However, it gets tight afterwards:
- Currently, there is a lack of “new content” – after Tidal Basin, only the raid came, and it is unattractive for many “normal players”
- The farming of loot and better gear is too dependent on chance for many and frustrating when one has to farm for a long time – they would wish for other ways to work towards better gear
- Currently, PvP is still being used – without this PvP, many probably miss a “daily activity” to indulge in
On Reddit, especially core gamers are active. Their biggest problem is clearly the “luck factor.” Here, many would probably wish for a “token” system where they can diligently collect tokens to get good items instead of relying on luck to get the perfect roll in The Division 2.

Can Massive solve the problems? A new update is coming next week that won’t bring any new content, but adds some improvements to existing systems and a new specialization to The Division 2.
New content is expected in July or August with Episode 1.
Massive will likely continue to work on the problems with PvP and the “luck factor.”
