The extensive update 21.3 has been released for the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online and was supposed to bring the raid Abyss of Mordath – but it is not included.
As the developers announced, after tests some issues were found that must be fixed before the raid can go online. Nevertheless, the update has now been released, but access to the raid is currently denied.

Update does not provide a raid but smaller fixes
The update now introduces a number of fixes and optimizations. For example, players starting fresh with a Beorning character now begin in a different starter zone and the aggro zone for pets has been adjusted. Additionally, there is now a limit on the Gorgoroth in-game currency and adjustments to the stats of monster players.

Yule Festival starts soon
One reason why the update has been released without the raid is related to the upcoming winter event “Yule Festival”. This starts on December 14 and update 21.3 prepares for this event. This could mean that the developers of The Lord of the Rings Online are still uncertain whether they can open the Abyss of Mordath raid by this date. However, the Yule Festival is definitely set to start on time.
So, for those who have been waiting to finally experience the Abyss of Mordath raid in The Lord of the Rings Online, they will have to be patient a little longer. For how long? That is still unclear.
