The arena shooter Quake Champions is now Free to Play. Bethesda has confirmed that they are switching the Quake shooter to a free model for everyone.
Quake Champions for free: Quake Champions was previously only playable during promotional weekends or for purchasers of the game. Through special promotions like during E3, players could unlock Quake Champions for free permanently for their account.
Bethesda is now transitioning to a system where every player can play permanently for free. However, free-to-play players will only have access to two champions and a third that rotates randomly. The basic package includes all maps and game modes.
If you want to unlock more characters, you can do this through in-game currency or real money, or continue to purchase the game as a “Champions Pack Upgrade.” Quake Champions can be played through the Bethesda.net launcher or via Steam.
