In Pokémon GO there have been significant issues with the PvP League for months. Frustrated trainers have now written an open letter to Niantic. The developers responded promptly and promised clarification.
Here’s the situation with the PvP League: Since the start of the PvP League, bugs in the mode have become the norm. Niantic repeatedly fixes some issues, but then new bugs quickly arise again.
The errors have reached a point where some trainers simply cannot play anymore and lose rounds due to bugs. Other trainers have lost interest in the mode. They don’t want to invest time in something where they lose due to game errors.
This is what has happened: Those who are fans of the PvP League but are just frustrated by the errors can now have hope. Trainers have compiled the known issues of the league and forwarded them to Niantic.
The developers have responded and promised an update for next week. It is supposed to clarify the errors.
Update on PvP Bugs is coming – Community is skeptical
This is the open letter: The letter comes from various PvP veterans. Among them are also well-known YouTubers like the German-speaking Spieletrend. Otherwise, they are mainly organizers of PvP tournaments and high-ranking fighters in the league.
The letter neatly lists what is currently going wrong in the PvP League. The known bugs are mentioned and there is also a detailed explanation and a video that shows the bug.
This is how Niantic reacts: The letter was shared on Twitter by numerous trainers and ultimately reached Niantic. They responded on Twitter: “Thank you for your thoughtful and constructive feedback. We have looped in our developers to share a comprehensive update on what’s being done to address the issues in GO Battle League. While this will take some time, we aim to have this update for you by the end of next week.”

This means that they want to be more transparent here. Niantic aims to provide insights into the problems and possibly explain why a fix is so difficult.
What do trainers say about this? Many players are still skeptical about whether the bugs can actually be fixed soon. After all, there have been continuous bug fixes and new errors often worsened the situation.
On Twitter, there are various comments suggesting to pause the PvP League for now. If the bugs are actually fixed, they would gladly return.
