A little riddle mount caused frustration among players of World of Warcraft. Blizzard is now explaining it, but also changing how you can farm it.
In World of Warcraft, there are now quite a few secrets and processes that are not clearly explained by the game. Among them are also some mounts, where players think they know the exact solution – but that is not always the case. Therefore, Blizzard has now provided clarification regarding the mount “Maelie”.
What kind of mount is this? It is about the mount Maelie. This is a new mount that players can find on Korthia when they look out for the little horse with the same name for several days. You must find Maelie six times on different days to receive the item “Reins of the Wanderer”, which then unlocks the mount.
Maelie can be found, if it is present, every day at a different spawn point. Usually a little off the paths or well hidden among roots or bushes.
What did Blizzard explain? Contrary to what was claimed in many guides, Blizzard has now clarified that Maelie is not found in Korthia every day. This had frustrated players – especially since the NPC (“Tiny Bell”) prompts players every day in Korthia to go look for Maelie. Even on those days when you cannot find the escaped hoofed animal at all.
Blizzard changes riddle, increases spawn rate: Apparently, there were too many tickets with complaints or discussions from players. Because Blizzard stated in a blue post that it has raised the spawn rate for Maelie. In doing so, Blizzard also deviates from its usual silence regarding smaller and larger riddles. It is stated in the official forum:
As a general rule, we do not comment on spawn rates or drop rates, but I would like to confirm here that Maelie is not expected to be found in Korthia every day.
However, we will raise her spawn rate with a hotfix and change it so that Tiny Bell does not ask you to find Maelie when she is not present at all.
These changes should go live within the next two days.
This should make it somewhat easier for all players to find Maelie and add her to their mount collection.
