PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PC, Xbox One, iOS, Android) will soon offer special crates with weapon skins. These are created in collaboration with the two famous streamers Dr. Disrespect and Shroud.
PUBG and its star streamers: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is not as popular as it was in January 2018, but a lot of gamers still play the battle royale game from Bluehole. Among them are also the famous streamers, like the controversial Dr. Disrespect and Shroud, to whom the game owes some of its success.
So the Doc briefly brought the streaming platform to its knees upon his return from a Twitch break.
For fans of the two streamers, there will soon be something very special in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Shoot like the Doc!
The biggest promotional event in PUBG’s history: From June 4th to June 30th, 2018, you will receive two special loot boxes in the shop, containing weapon skins designed by Dr. Disrespect and Shroud. Each box costs $9.99 and can be purchased via the in-game shop or through the Twitch platform.
The following offers for boxes are available:
- DrDisRespect’s Speed & Momentum Crate: Contains skins for M1416 and Kar98k
- Shroud’s Ghosted Crate: Contains skins for AKM and Kar98k

Does PUBG need the money?
Is PUBG slowly facing problems? The skins look quite cool and will bring some money into Bluehole’s coffers. The studio seems to need it since the free battle-royale shooter Fortnite is overtaking PUBG and is much more successful.
Top streamers should stay with PUBG: However, through the promotional event for the Doc and Shroud, Bluehole at least ensures that the two will stay with PUBG in June and promote their skins.
