The new PUBG update is set to release this week and brings changes such as 1st-person servers, car honking, and support for Xbox One controllers. This patch includes some gameplay changes that we will present to you in the patch notes.
The fourth monthly update of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is coming. After a few features are initially tested on the test servers, the update will follow for the live servers later this week.
This major patch will implement several changes in the game. One feature that many players have missed was apparently a horn for cars. This will be made available through the update, and you can honk at enemies before running them over.
If you prefer kills with weapons, there is more good news. The Mark 14 Enhanced Battle Rifle is making its way into the game. More information can be found in the patch notes for the 4th PUBG update.
PUBG Month 4 Update – Patch Notes
New items, gameplay changes, and optimizations of the game: In the fourth monthly update of PUBG, you will be offered quite a lot again. A precise release date for the patch has not yet been announced. The developer blog states that the 1st-person view still needs to be tested on the test servers before the update is released for the live servers. This is supposed to happen “later this week.”
- New Weapon: Look forward to the new weapon “MK14 EBR.” You can get the Mark 14 Enhanced Battle Rifle from the crates dropped from airplanes over the map. The rifle uses 7.62mm ammunition and is suitable for medium and long distances.
- Car Honking: As the community outcry shows, many players have been waiting a long time for a honking function for cars. The new update brings the acoustic warning into the game. Only drivers can honk – The standard key for this is the left mouse button.
- Character Customization: New face presets and hairstyles are available for both genders in character selection.
- First-Person View: The option for 1st-person servers is available for NA and EU servers in solo and duo game modes. This is supposed to provide you with a more realistic experience in the shooter.
- Players who choose 1st-person will join servers with other players who have also selected this option.
- Sound Improvement: With the improvements in sounds, it should now be clearer whether the source is inside a house or outside.
- Xbox Controller: Good news for gamers who like to play with an (Xbox) controller. These Xbox controllers are now supported by the game, and the controls will continue to be improved in the future.
- Kill Steal: Some players killed their allies after an opponent knocked them out. The allies killed the players so that the opponents would not receive points. This is no longer possible: “Some people killed knocked-out teammates in order to avoid giving kill count to an opponent who knocked them down. Now the kill count will still go to the opponent in this specific case.”
