The new PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) update increases the damage of the blue zone and addresses a bug with player armor.
Initially, the creators of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds did not plan to release any updates before version 1.0, but now there is an update for us. However, only minor adjustments are made to the game. The blue “Wall of Death” is supposed to cause more damage in the update. The bug that allowed some shots to ignore the opponent’s armor is also supposed to be fixed.
Update October 26: The patch is now live on the servers and can be downloaded.

PUBG Patch Notes Week 31 – October
The new patch is already available on the test servers and can be tried out by you. If everything runs smoothly, the patch will be available for the live servers as well.
In the patch notes, the developers explain what changes for you:
- Gameplay
- The damage / DOT (Damage over Time) of the blue zone has been increased (Update: The increased damage applies to players who are far from the play area)
- (Update: This does not apply to the first blue zone)
- Bugfix
- A bug has been fixed where ammunition sometimes ignored the armor of targets
The changes to the blue zone are based on feedback from PUBG players. They requested an improvement to the blue zone. Therefore, the developers increased the damage of the zone to lure players “in” the confined area.
The update aims to create more fights at medium to short range. In the middle or late stages of a match, fewer opponents should remain outside the blue zone due to the increased damage. Gameplay should then focus more on the limited area.
You can already download the patch for the test servers. It is about 1.7 GB in size. When the update will be transferred to the live servers is not yet known. We will update this article when a patch date is known.
The patch has been available on the live servers since October 26. It is 2.1 GB in size and can now be downloaded by you.
