One of the biggest PUBG streamers on Twitch is now hitting the brakes and wants to take care of his family.
It was a big, shocking surprise when the popular streamer DrDisRespect talked about his infidelity yesterday. He started his stream visibly stressed and directed his words straight to his fans.
DrDisRespect takes a streaming break for family
In an emotional announcement, streamer “DrDisRespect” explains that he has to pause streaming for an indefinite period. Tearfully, he tells his viewers:
“I want to make it very clear. I have a wonderful family with a wife and child, and I want you to know that I was unfaithful.” Therefore, he wants to take a break now to focus on his family.
He apologizes to his fans, sponsors, and Twitch: “That’s not me, I don’t want to embody that image. That’s all.”
After the announcement, he ended his stream.
Fans show mixed reactions
The character “DrDisRespect” is played by Guy Beahm, a former designer at the Call of Duty: WWII studio Sledgehammer Games.
In the role of DrDisRespect, he brings many insider jokes like “The 2 Time,” and fans love him for the macho persona he plays. Due to the huge success of the battle royale shooter “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds,” the popularity of his livestreaming channel soared to record heights in 2017, as the Doctor regularly plays the game.
On Twitch, the streamer has more than 1.4 million followers, and his sponsors include big names like Razer, Turtle Beach, Asus Republic of Gamers, and Need for Seat.
His fans are reacting to the recent announcement with mixed feelings. In his Sub-Reddit, some viewers express that they will continue to support the streamer. They wish him and his family all the best and hope they get through this tough time. Others are extremely disappointed.
