PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) is going to tackle the issues that annoy players. With a new campaign, the focus is on fixing problems.
Nothing new, right? Fixes are nothing new for PUBG at first glance. In past updates, bugs have been addressed repeatedly. However, this did not always meet player expectations.
In the new Fix-The-Game campaign, the focus is solely on fixing bugs, implementing quality-of-life features, and improving performance.
What’s on the “Fix the Game” agenda
No distractions: If the campaign’s plan is to be believed, then the bugs that have long annoyed fans will actually be fixed now. Players have long complained that the game runs “unsteady.” New game modes or other gimmicks that could distract from bug fixes are not on the agenda.
The beginning is a patch: At the start, there was already a patch for the live servers that allows additional graphic options such as “Sharpening” or setting the FPS limit. Players can also mute their teammates. Several bug fixes are included in this first patch.
Roadmap for planned tasks: In a roadmap, the PUBG developers show what work is upcoming. In August, it will focus on character optimizations and further improvements to client performance. Server performance, anti-cheat, and matchmaking are also on the agenda.
In addition, PUBG has launched a website for Fix-PUBG, where you can see in detail what exactly is planned.
Not just for PC: Many of the improvements for the PC version will also be transferred directly to the Xbox version.
