The new update of PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) causes stutters in the game. Here’s how you can improve performance.
On the night of Thursday, February 22, a new update for the battle royale shooter PUBG was rolled out to the live servers. This includes two new loot boxes and is supposed to improve performance at the start of the game. However, in other areas, performance has declined.
Players complain about stuttering during their PUBG matches.
PUBG is lagging – FPS lags after the February update
Anyone playing with the latest PUBG update will notice that the game’s performance has negatively changed.
Now there are micro-stutters in PUBG. The community has been complaining about this since the patch became available on Thursday morning. Apparently, a few bugs have crept into the update. Despite good FPS values and powerful PCs, PUBG stutters every few seconds.
The community has long been complaining about the game’s performance, and the developers are trying to improve it. In a previous update, a trick was used to make PUBG more stable.
The developers are already aware of the latest issues and are working on a solution.
PUBG is stuttering – Solution against the stutter
On Twitter, the PUBG support account replied:
“PC players, we are aware that some players are noticing periodic stuttering in the game. Our technicians are already investigating this issue.”
At the same time, they also offer a temporary solution that should fix the stuttering for now until the technicians have resolved the issue: “Please disable the replay and death cam features.”
Disabling the replay and death cam features should, according to some Reddit users, actually fix the disturbances. This should make the game run more smoothly again. If disabling does not help, players should then restart the game.
Update 16:55: The issue with the stuttering is now apparently resolved.
These two new loot boxes are in the game. The Fever and Militia crates are bringing especially rare items to PUBG.
