In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Season 10 is just around the corner. It brings a new map that promises some serious action – including a nasty enemy organization.
This is the update: PUBG is getting some new content in the new Season 10, and the PC Update 10.1 is already on the test server. It will officially be released for PC on December 16 and one day later for consoles.
The new season comes with an entirely new map. And it’s quite different from what you might expect.
This is the new map Haven in PUBG
“Haven” is a small industrial island. In fact, the new map is the smallest map PUBG has ever had: It measures only 1×1 kilometer and is therefore smaller than Erangel, Sanhok, or Karakin.
On the tight terrain, up to 32 players can compete against each other. Haven is a dense, urban battlefield where you can get involved in skirmishes in no time. Action-packed moments are expected here.
The map is divided into different districts, promising varied duels.

- At the steelworks, you can fight your way up and may quickly find yourself on the ground. Unless you have an emergency parachute.
- In the east, you will find the coal yard, which offers little visibility but provides some hiding spots.
- Also in the east are the open docks, including small ships.
- The industrial area in the north is filled with factories. There is plenty of cover here.
- In the residential area, you will find many closely standing high-rise buildings where you can duel. Fighting is also possible on the rooftops.
- In the center of Haven, you will find the overpass, which gives you an overview of the battlefield.
The matches on Haven are also expected to be generally shorter than on other maps. There are no bots – but there is an organization that officially wants a piece of you.
“Pillar” is involved: Pillar is a PvE organization, which previously did not exist in PUBG. They have guards and commanders scattered across the map controlling specific areas and can embroil you in skirmishes.
The good news: If you take them out, you can grab Pillar gear. Especially the commanders are well-equipped. However, you need to be cautious when Pillar agents call for reinforcements: Helicopters and trucks can attack you.
MeinMMO author Jürgen Horn mentions a special love-hate relationship with bots in shooters.

You can also simply play PUBG on your mobile phone. It is particularly popular among young adults in India. However, there have been issues with censorship there. The developers are trying to circumvent this:
