New weapons for PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) have now been introduced. Many Counter-Strike players still know the AUG as an anti-terror weapon.
With an update for the test servers, the PUBG developers are releasing two new weapons for testing. The lightweight machine gun “DP-28” and the assault rifle “AUG A3” are now part of the battle royale shooter thanks to this patch.
Additionally, the developers explain where you can inflict a lot of damage with the different types of weapons. Legs, hands, feet? Where does it hurt?
AUG A3 and DP-28 in PUBG
In the patch notes for the new test server update, the developers explain that you can now find two new weapons. One can be found in airdrop crates, while the other can be found as world loot.
- DP-28
- This lightweight machine gun with a 47-round magazine can be found as world drop.
- It uses 7.62mm caliber bullets.
- Sights and 4x scopes can be attached.
- The fire rate is low, but the rifle has a high range and causes a lot of damage.
- AUG A3
- This assault rifle can be found in care packages (i.e., from the air).
- It is a form of bullpup rifle and uses a 30-round magazine with 5.56mm caliber.
- With an extension, the magazine can be increased to 40 rounds.
- A high fire rate and low vertical recoil are key features of the AUG A3.
The Kar98k weapon will no longer be available in care packages. The spawn rate for the Kar98k as world loot remains the same.
Body Damage Zones – Where do hits hurt the most?
The new test server update for PUBG includes reduced damage for hits to hands and feet. Hits to arms and hips now cause more damage.

Patch Notes for Test Server Update 3
From November 22 to November 24 at 08:00 AM, you can try out the new update on the PUBG test servers.
In the latest update, some graphic effects and UI elements have been optimized. Additionally, work on the climbing function has continued.
More changes
- Healing time with bandages has been reduced to 4.5 seconds instead of 8 seconds. The execution time and the amount of healing remain the same.
- Players can now parachute into new zones of the map that were previously unsuitable for this. These include the outer areas of the map.
- The fire rate of the SKS and Mini-14 has been reduced
- The recoil of the Mk14 has been reduced
- 8x and 15x scopes can no longer be attached to the M16A
