In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds you can win as a pacifist and kill no one. But that only works if enough other people kill each other with firearms. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – The Best Pistols
Pistols are not particularly effective in PUBG. They usually peak at the beginning of a round when you might only have a frying pan as an alternative. Otherwise, pistols are still good as a sidearm when the ammunition for your main weapon runs out. Pistols inflict significant damage, but all suffer from low range and small magazine sizes.
Rank 1 – P18C
This pistol is based on the famous Glock 18C from Austria. Like its real-life counterpart, this weapon is famous for its extremely high fire rate. It fires 9mm bullets almost as quickly as a submachine gun! Thus, it achieves high DPS (damage per second) values, even if the damage per bullet is low.
When shooting with the P18C, keep in mind that the recoil makes it inaccurate at long distances between shots. Therefore, the P18C is only usable for close combat.

Rank 2 – P1911
The P1911 is based on the venerable M1911 Browning, a pistol that was used by US soldiers in World War I and still serves today. The pistol has a substantial kick with its thick .45 caliber rounds and is well-suited as a secondary weapon. Unfortunately, both the range and speed of the bullets are not optimal. The magazine holds 7 rounds, which is also quite small, but it can be expanded.

Rank 3 – R1895 (Only on Erangel)
If you have to shoot with pistols at close range, then the pistol should inflict enough damage to quickly take out the enemy. The R1895 is just the thing for that. This archaic revolver from the old Russian Tsarist Empire fires hefty 7.62mm rounds in the game! Thus, you inflict significantly more damage than with any other pistol. However, keep in mind that it takes an eternity to load the 7 rounds in the cylinder!

Rank 3 – R45 (Only on Miramar)
Instead of the R1895, you can find this revolver on the desert map Miramar. The R45 also inflicts decent damage and is quite accurate at medium range. Unlike the R1895, it uses the more commonly found .45 ammunition and can be equipped with a red dot sight for better aiming. The R45 has only six rounds in the magazine, but they can be reloaded much faster than with the R1895.
