The upcoming patch 8.3 has received new adjustments on the test servers of World of Warcraft. The new changes make Mythic Dungeons significantly harder than before.
How hard the dungeons are: On the PTR, Mythic Dungeons and Mythic+ are currently significantly stronger than before. The standard version of Mythic Dungeons (“Mythic+0”) has been increased by 45% compared to the additional 30% from Season 3.
Enemies now have 45% more health and deal 45% more damage than before. As an example, some numbers from Atal’dazar (via wowhead):
- Toxic Saurids – previously 100.7 thousand health points, now 146.4 thousand
- Confessors of Dazar’ai – previously 503.6 thousand health points, now 732 thousand
- Rezan – previously 3.52 million health points, now 5.12 million
Mythic Keystone Dungeons (“Mythic+”) will also be harder. Each Mythic+ level is now about 4 levels harder than before. So, if you cleared a +19 dungeon in the current Season 3, you will only be able to master +15 in Season 4 (for now).
When will the changes arrive? The Mythic Dungeons will be adjusted for Mythic Dungeons only with Season 4, which will come with the upcoming patch 8.3 to the servers. However, it is not yet clear whether the changes will remain, as the tests on the PTR are there for that.
Harder dungeons, better rewards
This is what you get for Mythic+: For the harder dungeons, there will indeed be stronger rewards. As announced by Community Manager Kaivax in the official forum, the amount of rewards increases
- from the weekly chest up to 475
- and when completing a dungeon to 465.
In addition, the level for maximum rewards has also been raised. The strongest items will only be available starting from Mythic+15 and will correspond to the same item level as in the Mythic version of the new raid Ny’alotha.
This is to give players who primarily engage in Mythic+ as endgame content the opportunity to still obtain competitive gear after the system of warforging and titanforging is removed with Season 4:
