The new firmware update for the PS5 brought along some long-awaited features as well as a hidden feature that will especially please the trophy collectors among you. MeinMMO explains what this is all about.
After several beta phases, Sony finally released the new firmware update firmware 22.02-06.00.00 for the PS5. This includes some quality-of-life improvements, such as voice command YouTube search and direct launching of Remote Play through the PS app, as well as features long awaited by players:
- You can finally organize your game collection in folders
- Support for WQHD (1440p). This resolution is becoming increasingly common among gamers.
Moreover, there is an additional hidden function that should especially delight the trophy hunters among you.

Many players find the hunt for trophies on the PS5 very enjoyable. However, it can also be very tedious and time-consuming. All those who lack patience and simply want to collect trophies as quickly as possible should take a look at the trophy menu of their PS5.
If you press “Options” here, you will find a new toggle that allows you to display all trophies – including the previously hidden ones. Previously, this only worked for individual trophies.
However, this option automatically turns off again once the console is restarted.
And whether you really want to spoil yourself this way is something you should think carefully about, as there are generally good reasons why developers hide certain trophies – such as hints on story progression that should be avoided.
