What are these indications at Media Markt and Saturn? Just last Wednesday, new PS5 bundles were listed at the two sister companies Media Markt and Saturn. These are identical at both retailers.
Also, the so-called “availability traffic lights” can now be found on the individual console and bundle product pages of both retailers. The appearance of these has almost always indicated a soon drop in the past.
In addition to these quite clear indicators, the fact that the last drop from both retailers was exactly 40 days ago – and thus unusually long – is a clear indication that something should finally happen soon.
What are these indications at Amazon? And even at Amazon Germany the last drop was already a hefty 26 days ago.
However, it is somewhat curious that the e-commerce giant has been selling the sought-after console abroad in Europe over the past few weeks. So there have been two drops each in the last 14 days from Amazon IT, UK, and FR.
As Wednesday has so far been the clearly preferred drop day of the retailer, we are quite hopeful for tomorrow, June 29, that it might finally be the time again. If so, the sale will most likely start between 9:00 and 11:00 AM.
How to Increase Your Chances for a Drop Right Now
Here’s what you should do: Add the PS5 or the corresponding bundles to your reminder or wishlist at Media Markt, Saturn, and Amazon right now. This way, you will often be able to access the bundles faster during the sale.
At Amazon, a Prime membership has so far been mandatory for PS5 sales.
It states on the product pages that Prime members have “priority access,” but experience suggests that the offers are always gone so quickly that other people don’t get a chance to buy. You can also test Amazon Prime for 30 days for free.
Even one and a half years after the market launch, the PlayStation 5 is still an absolute rarity. Accordingly, the joy is certainly great when there are finally drops or sales events at reputable retailers again.
