On the PS4 Pro, most games are upscaled. Which games run without upscaling?
Today, on November 10th, the PS4 Pro, Sony’s most powerful console to date, is being released. At launch, dozens of games will be “PS4 Pro” optimized, but the majority of these games will not enable native 4K gaming.
This means that the new console will upscale many optimized games in resolution. We speak of rendering and upscaling. According to earlier statements by PlayStation head Andrew House, it ultimately comes down to the result, not the terminology. Nonetheless, we want to look at which games now offer native 4K.
