The retailer Gamestop has made an offer that many cannot refuse: A PS4 Pro for €99 if you trade in your old PS4. However, the offer has now sparked a shitstorm. We show you reactions from angry or mocking potential customers on social media on Twitter and Facebook.
On Sunday, we reported, that Gamestop is planning a great offer. We called it the offer of the year. An old, used PS4, 2 games, and €99 should allow you to exchange it for a new PS4 Pro starting Wednesday, April 26. This was already circulating on German-speaking internet on Sunday evening.
Yesterday, Tuesday, we reported, that this offer is already sold out in many places, even though the campaign was supposed to start today, Wednesday. Many stores had already taken pre-orders – and the stocks were exhausted even before the campaign started.
This morning, many potential buyers went to Gamestop with their old PS4 and stood in line to bring home a new PS4 Pro. In some places, this was successful. Elsewhere, it was not.

In an official statement from Gamestop at 10 a.m., it says:
