The popular PS4 game Ghost of Tsushima received a free update on October 16. Despite some download issues, many players are excited about the DLC.
What content does the update offer? The latest free update for Ghost of Tsushima brings a lot of new content to the game. The Legends DLC was developed concurrently with the main game and is said by the developers to specifically emphasize the co-op aspect.
Included in the update are:
- A new story campaign for 2-player co-op
- A survival mode for 4-player co-op, where you defend various locations in Tsushima from enemies
- The “New Game +” mode
- A new merchant in the “New Game +” mode, selling new armors, colors, and other items for special currency
- A week later, a challenging raid for 4 players will be released, for which you’ll need the best gear and good teamwork.
You can start the multiplayer mode with the new NPC Gyozen or directly from the menu. In the missions, you will be able to choose between 4 different classes:
- The Samurai is the melee fighter in the front line, who can also function as a kind of tank
- The Hunter is most effective when attacking from a high position with his bow, landing headshots
- The Ronin’s specialty is that he can revive all fallen party members at once (individual revives can be performed with any class)
- And the Assassin can become invisible and deal heavy damage to individual enemies
Each class earns EXP during missions, which you can use to unlock new techniques and cosmetic items. So if you’re playing in co-op mode in Ghost of Tsushima, try to take advantage of your class’s strengths to withstand the waves of enemies.

What do the players say? On reddit and social media, many players are excited about the update. In the release thread for the DLC on reddit, the developers thanked their fans for their support and received many warm words in response.

Further comments in the thread and in other threads on reddit praise SuckerPunch as one of the best developers and thank them for the free DLC. Some players are surprised by how much new content is included in a completely free DLC.

Overall, many reactions to the new DLC are positive, although some encountered issues and bugs.
What problems were there? After the update went live, players reported on Twitter about a bug that made downloading the new DLC impossible. The PSN menu displayed the error “There is no Content”.
Some players were able to bypass the error by selecting the update directly from the PS4 dashboard. However, this did not work for everyone.
Connection issues and some bugs have also been reported, such as the missing synchronization with PS4 trophies.
The developer Brian Fleming from SuckerPunch reported on Twitter that fixes are already in the works.
Like most other PS4 games, Ghost of Tsushima is also playable on the PS5. In the PS5 collection, Plus members get a whopping 18 PS4 hits for free.
