You will then see the PS4 NP-37602-8 Error Code and cannot start YouTube on the PlayStation 4. In our article, we explain what this error means and what you can do about it.
PS4 YouTube Error NP 37602 8 – What does the error code mean?
When does the error occur? The error occurs whenever you have linked your YouTube account with your PSN account and then try to start the YouTube app on the PS4.
Some users also complain that they suddenly got logged out while using YouTube and can no longer log in. When trying to log in manually, the Error NP-37602-8 appears.
Is there already an official solution? So far, it is suspected that the PlayStation 4 cannot verify the link between your accounts, therefore generating an error. Google and Sony have not yet commented on this.
So far, neither Sony nor Google (the company behind YouTube) has been able to solve the problem. However, there are currently two ways you can still watch YouTube videos on the PS4.
PS4 YouTube NP 37602 8 – What you can do about it
1. Method: The easiest way is to manually search for videos on YouTube without signing in. It’s simple and straightforward, but you won’t have access to your saved videos or playlists.
- Advantage: conceivable simplest method if you don’t want to miss YouTube.
- Disadvantage: Your searches and videos will not be saved
2. Method: The second way is a bit more complicated: If you have started the YouTube app on your smartphone, you can send your videos directly to the PS4. This is called casting.
To do this, click on the cast icon in the app, which looks like a Wi-Fi symbol, and select your PS4 here. For this to work, both your PS4 and your smartphone need to be on the same network.
This is more complicated, but you can still access your playlists and videos. In addition, your searches will be saved.
- Advantage: Your videos and searches will be saved since you are logged in via your smartphone.
- Disadvantage: A somewhat more cumbersome method, and your PS4 and smartphone must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
