Immortals of Aveum
What kind of game is this? Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter developed by Ascendant Studios and published by EA Originals. The title was released in the summer of 2023 and had a rocky start. However, nowadays the game is considered underrated.
The interesting part about this single-player title is that Immortals of Aveum forgoes traditional firearms and instead relies on the use of magic.
As a player, you take on the role of Jak, a talented young man who has joined an elite squad of battle mages. He is tasked with saving the world from destruction. Along your journey, you will fight against hordes of enemies using your magical powers and engage in boss battles.
Minecraft Legends
What kind of game is this? Minecraft Legends is a game based on the popular franchise, best described as an action-strategy game. In the “Overworld” of Minecraft, you control a hero who unites various creatures to fight against invading Piglin hordes.
Depending on the mission, you must capture enemy control points and protect innocent villagers from enemy attacks.
Minecraft Legends also offers PvP, allowing you to battle against other players. Here, you can prove who is the better troop commander.
Skul: The Hero Slayer
What kind of game is this? Skul: The Hero Slayer is a roguelike action platformer developed by SouthPAW Games and released in 2021 under Neowiz. On Steam, the title has received a total of 93% positive reviews to date.
You take on the role of a small skeleton on a mission to rescue the Demon King, who was captured by the “evil” human heroes. The story surrounding this rescue mission is accompanied by animated cutscenes throughout the game.
Similar to other 2D platformers, this roguelike involves a lot of dying at the start. However, you can master the game by getting to know the various enemy types better and by continuously improving your little hero through unlockable upgrades and talents.
