We present to you the hopes and rumors that currently exist regarding PS Plus in September 2021. Especially three games are currently in high demand.
At the end of the month, the free additions for PlayStation Plus are always revealed. Players are currently discussing which games it could be in September.
PS Plus in August 2021 offered three interesting games for subscribers: Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (PS4), Tennis World Tour 2 (PS4), and Hunter’s Arena: Legends (PS4 and PS5).
MeinMMO presents you rumors, leaks, and user hopes. Please note that the games in our list are not official and will be officially announced by Sony during the week.
PS Plus September 2021: These 5 games are being discussed
Were there leaks about PS Plus? There was already a screenshot of a possible PS Plus offer in advance. However, as important things like the correct date are missing, we consider the “leak” to be not very credible.
The Medium
Genre: Horror-Adventure | Developer: Blobber Team | Release Date: January 2021 | Model: Buy-to-play
In the horror game “The Medium”, protagonist Marianne battles her recurring nightmare. The uniqueness lies in the fact that she travels back and forth between two worlds at the same time and must solve certain puzzles there.
By the way, there is no fighting in “The Medium”, as it is not a survival horror game. Instead, you need to solve complex puzzles to progress in the story.
You can read the GameStar review of The Medium here. Our colleagues consider the horror game to be one of the “story highlights of the year” (via GameStar.de).
Update: As reported by the developer team of The Medium, Blobber Team, on Twitter, while the game is coming to the PS5, it is not included in the PS Plus subscription.
Haven
Genre: Sports | Developer: The Game Bakers | Release Date: December 3, 2020 | Model: Buy-to-play
In Haven, you take on the role of a couple who have fled to a foreign planet. The focus is primarily on the cooperative experience between the two protagonists, who complete all tasks and fights together.
The French studio “The Game Bakers” aims to present a lovely story without familiar clichés. The story is well told, but testers from 4Players complain that the game overall offers too little gameplay and that the co-op mode also feels forced (via 4Players.de).
What speaks for it: PS Plus frequently combines big action hits with smaller, unknown indie games. Haven would also be such a game that fits well in combination with a large game.
Tony Hawk‘s Pro Skater 1+2
Genre: Sports | Developer: Vicarious Visions | Release Date: September 4, 2020 | Model: Buy-to-play
What speaks for it: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 were originally released in 1999 and 2000, respectively. In both games, you had to score as high as possible within a short time on a skateboard. With the remastered versions, since the end of 2020 there is a significantly improved version of the old games. Remastered games have frequently been part of the PS Plus program.
MeinMMO author Max Handwerk tested the multiplayer of Tony Hawk‘s Skater 1+2 for you and couldn’t stop playing during the test.
Marvel’s Avengers
Genre: Action | Developer: Square Enix | Release Date: September 4, 2020 | Model: Buy-to-play
The multiplayer game Marvel’s Avengers is currently considered a PS Plus title among fans. Players take on the roles of the superheroes from the Marvel universe in the adventure. With skill trees for each hero, the characters are supposed to distinguish themselves, even if multiple players selected the same comic characters. Missions can be completed in co-op or single player with the support of AI.
What speaks for it: A few days ago, the new free Black Panther expansion with new content was released. The contents of the new expansion can also be played without having completed the base game.
However, the online game is not doing very well. On Steam, the game has lost so many players that it’s hardly possible to find groups to play. With PS Plus and possible crossplay, the dwindling player numbers could be improved.
Uncharted: Lost Legacy
Genre: Action-Adventure | Developer: Naughty Dog, Inc. | Release Date: August 23, 2017 | Model: Buy-to-play
What speaks for it: Uncharted: Lost Legacy is the only Uncharted game that has not yet been included in PlayStation Plus. A possible reason why the game might come in September. Uncharted: Lost Legacy is also one of the frequently mentioned titles on reddit (via reddit.com)
Furthermore, Lost Legacy is not as extensive as the other titles, and Nathan Drake is not involved this time.
