Recently, Sony announced the highly anticipated new “PlayStation Plus November 2020” lineup. With PS Plus, there are 2 free monthly games for PlayStation 4 and one for the upcoming PlayStation 5. The PS4 games are available now. PS5 owners with a PS Plus subscription can also look forward to 20 additional games in the form of the PS Plus Collection at the launch of the PS5..
Here are the new PS Plus games for November 2020: In November, the number of free monthly games depends on which Sony console you have or will have at home.
If you have a PlayStation Plus membership, there are the following 2 free games for the PS4 this time:
- Middle-earth: Shadow of War – an action-adventure set in the world of The Lord of the Rings
- Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition – an action-adventure with Metroidvania flair
PS5 owners can also look forward to the following games later:
- Bugsnax – an adventure game and the actual PS5 title from the November lineup
- PS Plus Collection – a collection of 20 games from the PS4 era
So there are 21 games for the PS5.
When can you download the new monthly games from the PS Store? The two PS4 games can be downloaded by PS Plus members right now from the PS Store.
Bugsnax for the PS5 will only be available on November 12. However, German PS5 owners with PS Plus will have to wait a little longer. The PlayStation will only start in Germany on November 19, a week later. However, Bugsnax will be available over PS Plus until January 4, 2021.
The PS Plus Collection will be available at the launch of the PS5, according to Sony – so also on November 19 here in Germany.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War (PS4)
What is Middle-earth: Shadow of War? It is an action role-playing game based on the license of The Lord of the Rings. Chronologically, it takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and is set after its predecessor, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
In a new epic story from the LotR universe, you must go behind enemy lines and build an army to conquer fortresses and ultimately dominate Mordor.
Alongside an engaging story, you will encounter a dynamic combat system, a flexible character development system, a rewarding loot system, and enjoyable fortress sieges. The popular Nemesis system from the predecessor is also back, capable of creating unique stories with almost every enemy and follower.
You should check out Middle-earth: Shadow of War if you generally enjoy action RPGs or action-adventures, liked the predecessor, or are a big “The Lord of the Rings” fan. The atmospheric setting with original lore makes Shadow of War a unique experience for fans.

Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition (PS4)
What is Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition? Hollow Knight is a 2D platformer-style action-adventure with Metroidvania elements and even some inspirations from the Souls series.
The Voidheart Edition includes the original base game as well as 4 content packs that integrate seamlessly into the game, bringing numerous new abilities, quests, and bosses.
In the game itself, you explore a large open world with intricate caves, ancient cities, and all sorts of deadly wastelands in classic side-scrolling fashion. You face corrupted creatures, uncover exciting secrets, develop your character, and put your skills to the test against over 40 bosses.
You should check out Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition if you enjoy challenging 2D platformers or the Metroidvania genre, like dark atmospheres and settings, and want to dive into a vast game world where your skills are tested at almost every corner.

Bugsnax (PS5)
What is Bugsnax? Bugsnax is a quirky first-person adventure game and also one of the launch titles for the PS5. In the game, you play as a newspaper reporter who is invited to explore a mysterious island with various living delicacies. You must complete numerous quirky tasks and capture all sorts of crazy creatures – half bug, half snack.
By the way, Bugsnax will also be available for PS4, but as a monthly game, it only comes for PS5. There are currently no reviews, recommendations, or links for Bugsnax, as the game has not yet been released. We will update this information as soon as possible.
PS Plus Collection (PS5)
What is the PS Plus Collection? PS5 owners will receive a nice bonus at the launch of Sony’s new console, provided they also have an active PS Plus membership.
For those who meet this condition, Sony offers the so-called PS Plus Collection directly at the release of PlayStation 5. This collection includes originally 18 top titles that were released during the PS4 era. However, Sony has now announced that there are two additional titles on top – totaling 20 games.

This is what you need: Basically, just one thing – an active membership with PS Plus, a paid service from Sony Interactive Entertainment.
