PS Plus September – Speculations and Rumors
What games could come in July? There are currently no reliable leaks about the PS Plus games for September. However, some titles are being discussed in the communities and Reddits that could be plausible for PS Plus Essential.
Keep in mind with the following games that we have no definitive information and they are merely speculations. Feel free to share your speculations and wishes in the comments.
- Hades
One game that has been speculated for months is Hades. The roguelike from the acclaimed indie studio Supergiant Games
celebrated huge success in 2020. The visuals and smooth gameplay continue to impress today. Hades 2 has even been announced, and as an indie title, the game would fit into PS Plus Essential like Death’s Door.
- Disco Elysium
After the current success of Baldur’s Gate 3, Disco Elysium would also be a good candidate for PS Plus Essential. It has a similar gameplay principle to BG 3 but is set in a completely different setting. You play as a detective who has to solve a murder case. Themes include politics, psyche, and personal morals and philosophy.
- Crash Team Racing
Another popular candidate for speculation is Crash and his racing adventure. Although Crash is no longer officially a PlayStation mascot, many still associate him with the platform. Accordingly, it would also be a good choice as a game. Quality-wise, Crash Team Racing holds its own, as it is a more challenging yet fun alternative to Mario Kart.
- Cuphead
Another celebrated and popular indie game is Cuphead. The boss rush platformer is a real eye-catcher with its 1930s cartoon aesthetics. Additionally, the difficulty is impressive and can compete with classic titles from earlier times like Contra.
- Powerwash Simulator
On hot days, a cooling relief is very welcome, and Powerwash Simulator is probably the best game for that right now. You simply clean things with a pressure washer. It’s exactly this gameplay and its visuals that provide such satisfaction that many players are thrilled. Additionally, there is a Spongebob and Final Fantasy DLC if you’ve always wanted to clean something there.
- Mortal Kombat 11
Many players also suspect Mortal Kombat 11. The fighting game is famous for its brutality and explicit representation. But the gameplay is also convincing and catapults the game into the hall of fame of fighting games. However, whether a PS Plus release would shift focus away from the soon-to-be-released Mortal Kombat 1 is questionable.
