Today, on September 28, 2022, the new free games for PS Plus Essential are officially presented. MeinMMO explains to you what you need to know.
When will the games be presented? As a rule, PS Plus is always announced on the last Wednesday of the month. In a few exceptions, the presentation has also been delayed until Thursday.
The games should therefore be revealed today, Wednesday, September 28. Usually between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
When can I download the free games? The games are expected to be available for you on PS4 and PS5 starting Tuesday, October 4. But remember to grab the free PS Plus games for September 2022 before they are no longer available starting next Wednesday.
Which games will be presented? So far, no games are officially known. We’ve summarized a few possible rumors in the following article here on MeinMMO. If there are leaks, we will report them here on MeinMMO:
PS Plus Essential – Necessary if you want to play online on your PS4/PS5
Why Essential? Sony introduced the new “PS Plus” model in the summer of 2022. Now there are three different models with Essential, Premium, and Extra. For many games, you need a PS Plus subscription for multiplayer games. A handful of games can be played on PS4 and PS5 without PS Plus.
What else does PS Plus Essential provide? Additionally, you regularly receive cosmetics or in-game currency from various games as gifts, and you have an extra discount on some games. Be sure to check the PS Store from time to time and browse the PS Plus section so you don’t miss out on bonuses for games that interest you.
Moreover, save files can be transferred to the PS cloud, and there are monthly games in the subscription. However, you can only access them if you are currently a member of PS Plus.
