When will the games be announced?
- PS Plus: Games available starting Tuesday, July 4
- Usually around 12 PM
- Possible announcement: Wednesday, June 28
- Reveal of the games often around 5:30 PM
The games are always released on the first Tuesday of the month, so July 4 is actually considered fixed. The announcement of the games is not always so precise; usually, the games are showcased on the Wednesday before the release.
Speculations about possible games can be seen below. The current games for PS Plus in June should definitely be added to your PlayStation library by Tuesday.

PS Plus July – Speculations and Rumors
Which games could come in July? Currently, there are no reliable leaks regarding the current games in PS Plus Essential for July 2023. However, several games are being discussed in the Reddits and communities and are considered “plausible”.
Keep in mind with the following games that there are no binding information and the following games are only speculations and rumors that are being discussed.
- SIFU
SIFU has been long considered a possible candidate for PS Plus. The 3D beat ’em up with roguelite elements impresses with its style. You should bring a certain amount of frustration with you for this game, as it is extremely difficult. A true delight for fans of kung-fu movies and revenge stories.
- Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins
Another candidate that is being hotly debated is Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins. It is a souls-like in the Final Fantasy universe with a huge amount of looting and leveling. With the release of FF16, it is a possible candidate.
- A Lego game
As always, Lego games are also highly anticipated by many. Fans are most hoping for the new Lego Star Wars. Since the DLC packs are currently on sale, this pick would fit. In Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, you play through the nine Star Wars films and experience the story with different heroes.
- Alan Wake Remastered
With the second part of Alan Wake coming out in October, the possibility that the remake of the first part appears in PS Plus is quite high. The game is a mix of thriller and horror-adventure about thriller author Alan Wake, who has to face mysterious nightmares and possessed individuals.
- Cult of the Lamb
An indie candidate being speculated for PS Plus is Cult of the Lamb. In Cult of the Lamb, you lead your own cult as a lamb and want to overthrow 4 gods. In doing so, you manage your cult and fight your way through dungeons. With games like Trek to Yomi, such a candidate is not unlikely, as smaller games also keep coming into the subscription.
What does PS Plus Essential offer? PS Plus Essential is the first level of Sony’s PS Plus subscription system and is important if you want to play online games. Additionally, you get at least three games for your library every month. Provided you still have the PS Plus Essential subscription when you want to play one of the games.
