It has developed into a tradition over the last few months. The new games for PS4 & PS5 in the PS Plus Essential subscription have been leaked a day before the official announcement. Once again, it is the site “dealabs”. MeinMMO shows you the games, briefly presents them, and explains how the process with PS Plus works.
Which games are available in December with PS Plus Essential? If the leak is to be believed, you can look forward to the following games:
- Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS4)
- Biomutant (PS4/PS5)
- Divine Knockout (PS4/PS5)
How reliable is the leak? As of now, the leak is very reliable. The site “Dealabs” has been leaking the games a day before the official announcement for months and has never been wrong (via dealabs.com).
However, it is still a leak – there is no full certainty.
When are the games available? The official announcement usually takes place on Wednesday, November 30, around 5:30 PM. The games will then be available from the first Tuesday of the month:

PS Plus December 2022 – Featuring the Epic Mass Effect Trilogy
Which games have been leaked? The headline game of PS Plus in December is the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. The remastered version of the complete Mass Effect trilogy is coming for your PS4 and is a gem in gaming history.
- Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS4)
Mass Effect skillfully combines shooter gameplay with story elements and allows you to form deep relationships with your companions. At times, the titles invite grinding, but those who want to experience a more or less coherent story over three parts will be fully satisfied.
On Metacritic, the PS4 version scores a strong 87 points (via metacritic.com). Here you can find an assessment by MeinMMO demon Cortyn and here is a trailer for the game:
- Biomutant (PS4/PS5)
The first trailers of Biomutant amazed many viewers. The action RPG with open world dazzled with a refreshing setting and great ideas.
However, upon release, the title failed to convince, landing on Metacritic with just 69/PS5 and 64/PS4 (via metacritic.com). Especially the balancing in fights and some game design decisions are criticized.
However, the title has its fans, and the setting as well as the story are likely to keep fans of wacky science fiction stories engaged for a while. We will include a trailer for you here:
- Divine Knockout (PS4/PS5)
The platform-fighting game is being released in time for the release of the new PS Plus games on PlayStation and attempts to emulate the concept of Super Smash Bros. or Multiversus – but with a twist. Instead of just viewing the game world from the side, you are fighting from a third-person perspective.
The characters are gods and mythological beings – players of the MOBA Smite will see many familiar figures. Each comes with their own skills, which largely determines the play style of the figures.

The official announcement of the games in December for PS Plus Essential has yet to take place, but leaks in recent months have been extremely accurate.
