The games for PS Plus Essential in August 2023 for PS5 and PS4 have been officially announced. We will briefly introduce the games and show when they are available.
Which games are available in August 2023? There are again three games available in August 2023 that you can get with the PS Plus subscription.
- PGA Tour 2K23 – (PS5/ PS4)
- Dreams – (PS4)
- Death Door – (PS5/ PS4)
When are the games available? The “PS Plus” games are always available on the first Tuesday of the month:
- August 1, 2023 / 12:00 PM: PS Plus – games available
Dreams
In the 2020 released Dreams, it’s about accessing a toolbox of various tools and then creating your own game as well as sharing it in an online library with other players.
Dreams is characterized by two fundamental gameplay aspects:
- creating your own creations
- finding and playing creations of other players
The principle of developing your own games on the PlayStation was supposed to be a revolutionary concept for consoles. However, the success apparently did not happen, and the developers of Dreams, Media Molecule, announced in April 2023 that there will be no more events and updates. Media Molecule officially ends support for Dreams on September 1, 2023.
Death Door
In the action-adventure “Death Door”, you are a crow that you control from an isometric perspective. Your task is to “harvest” the souls of the dead and deliver them to a kind of authority – practically like a feathered Grim Reaper. But one day you lose a soul.
From then on, you chase the thief of the soul through various dungeons and fight various beings like beasts and demigods. In combat, you have melee weapons, arrows, and magic at your disposal.
PGA Tour 2K23
In the sports simulation PGA Tour 2K23, you are not armed with a scythe, but with a golf club and you are not hunting souls, but golf balls. You take on the role of various golf professionals and showcase what you can do on the green.
PGA Tour 2K23 is playable in local and online multiplayer and also offers the opportunity to create your own golf course and design the fairway as you envision it.
Until when can you secure the games? Until September 5, 2023, you can secure the 3 games and, as long as you have the PS Plus Essential subscription, also keep them.
