PS Plus brings one of the best co-op games of all time – But only for PS5

With Overcooked: All You Can Eat, a real couch co-op hit lands in the September offer from PS Plus. However, it currently looks like only PS5 players will get to enjoy the game.

What kind of offer is this? Every month, players with a PS Plus membership can snag a few games from the store at no extra cost. Since the PS5 became available for purchase, it’s always been a mix of PS4 and PS5 games.

You can find an overview of the PS Plus games in September here.

Overcooked: All You Can Eat is also included in this month’s offer. However, at the moment it seems that only PS5 players will get to enjoy this culinary co-op chaos. Because even though there is also a PS4 version of the game, Overcooked has been announced as the PS5 game of the month – making it playable only for owners of one of the next-gen consoles.

Those who can only access the games with a PS4 will initially miss out in this regard. However, if you own a PS5, you should definitely add the game to your collection.

Overcooked: All You Can Eat is a brilliant co-op fun that can spice up friendships

This is Overcooked: All You Can Eat: Overcooked has been appearing in lists like “the top co-op games” and similar rankings for years. You can also find Overcooked in our list of the best couch co-op games ever. No wonder: The game is simply perfect for a chaotic and entertaining game night.

Basically, you take on the roles of up to four chefs in a kitchen, who must ensure that ordered dishes are prepared and served in quick succession. For this, you need to grab the right ingredients, chop them up, and then cook or fry. After that, everything must be plated in the correct combination and sent out. You also have to clean the dirty dishes.

Seems pretty simple, right? Haha. Maybe at first. But as the recipes become more complex, it becomes quite the coordination task where you need to communicate. After all, it helps no one if you get in each other’s way or chop sausage three times when salad is required.
