Sony recently announced the new monthly PS Plus Games for April. The games are now available. All PS Plus subscribers can look forward to the following titles starting April 2.
You should note: If you haven’t heard, there was a change in March regarding the PS Plus games. The free monthly games now exclusively include PS4 titles. There will no longer be games for the PS Vita and PS3 in this context.
These PS Plus games are available in April for your PlayStation 4:
- Conan Exiles
- The Surge
Starting Tuesday, April 2, they will be available for all PS Plus members for download or can be added to the library.
Conan Exiles
What is Conan Exiles? Conan Exiles is a survival MMO in the rugged sword & sorcery world of Hyboria from Conan the Barbarian.

As a player, you get crucified in the desert for your misdeeds and left to die with your character. However, you are rescued by Conan himself and must then fight for your survival.
In this context, you discover a large, diverse world with different climate zones, build houses or entire cities, craft clothing, battle through dungeons, and encounter various monsters, animals, or other players.

Who is Conan Exiles suitable for? The game is primarily aimed at an adult audience that does not want to be fed standard fantasy fare. Because Conan Exiles is quite rough and gritty. The game does not hold back on blood or nudity either.
If you enjoy survival elements, like to explore worlds, and want to experience a cool story, then you can’t go wrong with Conan Exiles.

The Surge
What is The Surge? The Surge is a challenging action RPG set in a sci-fi world, reminiscent in many aspects of the Souls series or Bloodborne.
As a player, you take on the role of an employee at a large corporation trying to save the world from collapse in a dystopian future.
During a catastrophe on the first day of work, you become unconscious and awake in a destroyed workplace. Equipped with an exoskeleton, you now want to escape the industrial complex. You must avoid rampaging robots, crazed and bionically modified colleagues, as well as a nasty AI.

In third-person view, you slice through numerous enemies, thanks to a well-thought-out combat system with cool animations, and defeat massive bosses – all in a beautifully staged, industrial-themed game world.
Along the way, you can deliberately target specific body parts of enemies and even deliberately sever their limbs. You can then equip, use, or even upgrade the severed weapons or armor pieces, thus further developing your character.

Who is The Surge suitable for? For anyone who has always wanted a Souls or Bloodborne experience in a sci-fi setting or generally enjoys challenging but fun gameplay. The Surge proves to be similarly challenging with its combat as its unmistakable predecessors.

To do this, you need an active subscription to PlayStation Plus. This service costs about 60€ per year. In return, you get two free PS4 titles every month in the form of a digital download through the PS Store. You can either download the games directly to your PS4 or add them to your library if you want to play them later.
If your subscription expires, you will no longer be able to play the PS Plus titles, but the games will remain in your library along with your progress. If you renew or extend your PS Plus subscription, you can pick up right where you left off.
