A promising crossover with Dungeons & Dragons will soon celebrate its release. It has a lot to offer that the community has been waiting for some time.
Which game is it about? Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked is an upcoming tactical and turn-based virtual tabletop game from Resolution Games that combines the Demeo RPG system with the setting of D&D. Demeo was the first title in this style and has achieved a rating of 88% positive votes on Steam and a score of 80 out of 100 points on Metacritic (as of October 2, 2025, 7:00 PM).
The setting is the Forgotten Realms, including areas around the city of Neverwinter. The game offers turn-based combat, cooperative game modes for up to four players, and the ability to experience solo or team-based pen-and-paper-like adventures without needing a game master, using it like a virtual “table.”
The game finally has a release date and will be available on November 20, 2025, on Steam, PS5, and for VR systems PS VR2, SteamVR, and Quest. If you want to give it a try, you have the opportunity during the Steam Next Fests from October 13 – 20 as part of a demo.
Through the crossover, fans of Dungeons & Dragons may finally get a tool that provides what they have long desired.

Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons as an alternative to Project Sigil?
What have fans been waiting for? Already at the release of the first trailer for “Battlemarked,” positive feedback circulated in the community. Many fans of the tabletop RPG praise the visuals and style of the game and look forward to exploring popular and well-known areas from Dungeons & Dragons in this form together with friends and to “roll some dice virtually in the evenings.”
A fan even sees it as a potential alternative to the virtual tabletop from DnD Beyond’s “Project Sigil”. The project has been in development since August 2022, with the first alpha tests conducted since September 2024, and in March 2025, around 90% of the staff were laid off (see Polygon.com), which is why many fans are looking for alternatives.
Under the gameplay trailer for the crossover of Demeo and D&D on YouTube, user carryaushongkong writes about Battlemarked: “Well, they have actually laid the groundwork for what Project Sigil failed to accomplish. I wonder if they could go further and introduce 5e. Then you’d have the biggest thing the DnD community has been longing for <3”.
Whether the new game can meet these expectations remains to be seen.
