The developer studio Automaton plans to officially present the online game Project X on February 17. It is particularly interesting as it mixes MMO with Battle Royale. You will find yourself on a large island inhabited by up to 1,000 players.
In Battle Royale battles, 400 people will compete.
SpatialOS for a believable world
To create a believable and large game world, the team uses SpatialOS technology. This technology allows for the creation of a large world where wild animals are simulated, fire can spread, footprints are left in the mud, and water is simulated better than in other games.
The MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria also wanted to use this technology, but recently opted for a cheaper alternative for cost reasons.
Fight for dominance on an island
The story of the game revolves around several factions fighting for dominance on the island. You are a newcomer who gets involved in this struggle and wishes to overthrow the prevailing regime. Each of the four factions on the island has its own goals that you can support or sabotage.
Project X aims to convince you with the following features:
